Down Under

Diving on the outside edge is always stimulating anything can happen on the wild side of the reef. I was decompressing in the shallows after a long deep dive when the ocean swell above me started breaking. I'd look up and see this underwater tornado taking shape each time a wave broke down on the reef with the power and force that could be felt well below the surface. The once calm and steady ocean would burst into turmoil and display spectacular colours and formations with each unique frenzied wave of energy. It was a grand finale to a dive on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef.
